Frequently Asked Questions

  • What models of BMW motorcycles do you work on?

    Airheads from 1955 to 1995, K-bikes (2 and 4-valve “bricks”) from 1985 to 2009, Oilheads from 1994 to 2006, and F&G 650 singles from 1997 to 2015.

  • Do you work on makes of motorcycles other than BMW? Or cars?

    Sorry, no.

  • Do you make house calls?

Sorry, no. Ask me about transport options.

  • Is it okay to just drop in?

It is always advisable to call first. I may be out sick or running an errand. I also keep the gates and doors locked during the day for safety.

  • If I call and have to leave a message, how long will it be before I get a call back?

I DO screen my calls, and even if I recognize a number, I may not be able to answer. Messages left during business hours should be returned before the end of that day, if not sooner. Messages left after the close of business will be returned the next business day.

  • Can I wait while my motorcycle is being worked on?

There is a waiting area, HOWEVER, being a single-person business, things come up during the day that must be attended to. These distractions can make things take much longer than they should, so it is preferable to make arrangements to leave your bike.

  • Can I watch you work on my bike?

Sorry, no. It can be a real distraction, and it is against insurance rules.

  • Why are you only open three days a week, and why do you close at 3:30?

This business is a retirement endeavor for me. It’s important to have a home life.
